This study analyzes the operational costs of log loading and unloading activities at PT. Pelindo (Persero) Tanjung Emas Semarang. The research gap arises from the frequent delays in the log handling process at the port, which lead to increased logistics costs and reduced competitiveness. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the influence of labor costs, equipment and machinery costs, and total operational costs on the performance of log loading and unloading. The method used is an analysis of operational costs and efficiency, with data obtained from the period of January to March 2025. The results of the analysis show that equipment and machinery costs are the dominant component, contributing 56.2% of the total operational costs, while labor costs contribute 43.8%. The total operational cost reached Rp 1,057,448,192 over three months, but the unit cost per cubic meter remained stable at Rp 12,506 even though the volume of loading and unloading fluctuated. This stability indicates effective management that maintains productivity. It is concluded that fluctuations in total costs are heavily influenced by the number of working days and volume, while the unit cost is maintained. The suggestions provided include optimizing labor management and increasing routine maintenance of heavy equipment to maintain efficiency and reduce high repair costs.
